This superb limited edition print is the first in the series by Robin Brooks. It is taken from a specially commissioned painting. Trafalgar is considered to be one of the greatest challenges for any Marine Artist. Robin has carried out this project with great enthusiasm and dedication.

Throughout 35 years of professional maritime painting, Robin has been represented by some of the UK's leading galleries, his work has been featured in several journals both in the UK and abroad. He has been highly respected for the depth of his research, great attention to detail and historical accuracy. He mainly works to commission, usually producing a few oil paintings each year. The research and painting of The Defining Moment has taken over five years to complete and has been his greatest undertaking. The project has entailed the construction of numerous models and a large stage-set of the battle. This has enabled him to visualise the complexities of the subject in three dimensional form. In his constant search for detailed accuracy he has discovered a great deal of previously overlooked material from all over the world. This most demanding of battle scenes is graphically and accurately brought to life here with new vigour.

To offer the widest possible choice we have produced The Defining Moment—Trafalgar 1805 as a high quality edition limited to 850 copies worldwide. The edition is split into two methods of printing — Giclée and Lithograph.

We feel you will be delighted with this superb limited edition print. By choosing a giclée print on canvas (pronounced Jee Clay) you will enjoy a picture that looks and feels almost like the original. The giclée has been produced to the highest standard of printing, using the latest digital technology and lightfast inks. The canvas is stretched like an original oil painting, and then set directly into a gilded frame (a mount and glass are not necessary). The picture offers the ultimate in presentation and will grace any setting.

The Lithograph is printed using traditional methods. After 750 copies had been made, the printing plates were destroyed. This ensures that no further prints can be made. The lithograph has been produced to the highest quality ensuring a faithful reproduction of the original.

Every effort has been made to source the finest quality materials to mount and frame 'The Defining Moment' Lithograph making this a very special collector's piece. Each Lithograph is personally checked for quality, then signed and numbered by the artist.
